To all my blogging friends

We've got power, but not sure how long it will last. There are so many emails from you and others asking about us and it means so much. We are safe. My son and his family suffered the damage, but not to their lives.
It is so bad here and most of you have proabably seen things we haven't even seen here with absolutely no power and curfew going on. The radio has been on constantly, even now. We've worked during the day where we could (not me...they wouldn't let me), eaten whatever we could and read by the light of lamps until we got sleepy.  It has been cool so don't really miss the air, but oh how I miss hot water.  But you won't hear me complain.
I did lose a dear friend and know many who lost friends or loved ones
I've missed hearing you all talk and seeing your pics, but I will catch back up really soon.
God bless you for trying to contact me and for those who called on the cell phone; those who prayed and sent good thoughts.  Please please continue,  There are so many hurting people here who lost everthing and loved ones and one family their children.  So many many stories.
But just wanted to check in and let you know I'm ok and all of my family.
love,
Babs

So glad you are okay. I have been thinking of you since the tornado. I have even kitted "Bed of Roses" and found a blog asking for donated baby and children quilts and so I was out yesterday grabbing some fabby to make a quick baby quilt thinking of you all doing theri best to restore what is left from the tornado.
I am in prayers for you, your lost loved ones.

(((Babs)))

I'm so glad to read that you're ok. I'd emailed you a question about Bed of Roses and then put it together about the storms and your being in AL. I've been praying for you ever since.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear friend and all the devastation around you.

The closest I can get to understanding what it's like there is remembering the aftermath of Hurricane Ike down here in SE TX. Much of our city was without power for 2 weeks or more. We'd cheer every time we saw a power crew esp. from other areas of the country. I remember what a treat it was when the grocery stores opened and when they finally had fresh produce again.

You and your neighbors are still in my prayers.
